Time for fitness training! But working out doesn't only mean long cardio or jogging or even marathon running. Instead, you should focus on life applicable fitness with resistance training (especially bodyweight exercises) and interval training.

If you build up your fitness with those types of workouts, you'll lose fat fast. In fact, research shows you can lose belly fat faster with interval training than cardio.

When working on your fitness, there are 5 things you must do.

First, you must do short bursts of resistance training. You need to use multi-muscle exercises, such as squats, pushups, rows, and lunges. At the very least, you need to do two workouts per week lasting 15 minutes.

The fastest resistance training workouts use supersets or circuits, like Turbulence Training, to help you get more results in less workout time.

For example, you might do one big circuit of prisoner squats, close-grip pushups, bodyweight rows, and reverse lunges. That is a total body workout and will strengthen all of the major muscle groups in your body.

More importantly, it will help you lose fat and sculpt your muscles. Researchers from Purdue University found that men and women could gain muscle and lose fat with circuit training - even though they were over 60 years of age!

The second thing you need to do is life-applicable interval training. This is much better than cardio because it gives you the same fitness benefits in less time. Plus, it helps you lose belly fat.
