Fat Burning Exercises
You can do fat burning exercises anytime, anywhere. You don't need to be in a gym with expensive machines, big treadmills, crazy elliptical machines, or cardio-theatres to burn fat and lose weight. In fact, I'm going to shock you by giving you the 5 secret fat burning exercises that I use in Turbulence Training.
#1 - Any type of Squat movement
This is one of the most powerful fat burning exercises you can do, and there are dozens of ways to do it. Any exercise that requires you to push your hips back, bend your knees, and drop your hips down until your thighs are about parallel to the floor is going to use a lot of muscle mass and burn a lot of calories.
You can do bodyweight squats, barbell squats, dumbbell squats, vertical jumps, kettlebell swings, deadifts, and many, many more movements. All of these will boost your metabolism and help you burn fat in and out of the workout.
#2 - Pulling exercises
Most people don't realize it, but we all have a lot of metabolic muscle mass in our upper backs, and by doing pulling exercises we can burn more calories, build more muscle, and burn fat to help us lose weight.
There are many types of pulling exercises, but we'll classify them into vertical pulling, such as chinups, pulldowns, and pull-ups, and horizontal pulling exercises, such as dumbbell rows, seated rows, inverted rows, and barbell rows.
Probably the best pulling exercise of all for burning fat is the Deadlift, which is also a squatting type movement, so it falls under two categories. As a result, it uses more muscle mass than almost any other exercise you can do, and will build a lean, chiseled body if done correctly.

#3 - Pushing exercises
From pushups to bench presses, from shoulder presses to decline pushups, there are hundreds of pushing exercises that you can do to work your chest, shoulders, and triceps. This is a lot of muscle mass, and that will boost your metabolism and burn calories. Plus, these fat burning exercises also work your abdominals - although no one thinks about that - and will help you get a flat stomach.
#4 - Single-leg exercises
You don't see a lot of people doing lunges, split squats, single-leg deadlifts, and step-ups because these exercises are very hard. But it is worth the effort to do single-leg exercises because they burn a lot of calories and help you lose weight. Don't skip these exercises, make them a part of every total body fat burning workout.
#5 - Total body ab exercises
You don't need to do crunches to lose weight or burn belly fat.
